Jon Brady has paid tribute to Good Friday's hosts as the Cobblers head to Reading for the first of their Easter games.
"Reading have had to work under some difficult circumstances this season and all credit to them," he said.
"They are clearly fighting hard, the situation seems to have galvanised them and you can see how committed they are. They are working incredibly hard and they have had some really good results. They have been one of the most in form teams in the league over the last little while and they will be very strong opponents on Friday.
"They could easily have gone under but they have shown huge character to rally and we know the size of the task we face on Friday. They are an athletic side, a side who have a lot of power and they can overrun you if you don't set up right. They have a lot of energy about them and we will need to be at our best and cover and support each other.
"We'll take over a thousand fans there on Friday and we will want to deliver a performance for them. We are very grateful for the backing we have had all season and there will be a noisy away end there on Friday I am sure."
