Rob Page previews Northampton Town v Southend United
Cobblers boss Rob Page has called on his players to match their work rate from midweek in Saturday’s home game against Southend United.
“We showed great effort, application and commitment against Manchester United and my message to the players after the game was that we are going to need that again on Saturday,” he said.
“We wanted to win on Wednesday night but we know how important the league is to us.
“We were disappointed after Chesterfield and we want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
“There are areas we need to improve on, we know that and we will be working hard on the training ground to do that.”
Paul Anderson and JJ Hooper, both cup-tied in midweek, will be available for selection on Saturday, while the Cobblers have no fresh injury concerns.
