ROB PAGE LOOKING TO BUILD ON SCUNTHORPE PERFORMANCE AS MILLWALL VISIT SIXFIELDS

Rob Page previews Northampton Town v Millwall

Cobblers boss Rob Page previews this weekend’s visit of Millwall and says he is fully expecting Millwall to be challenging at the top end of the table before the end of the season.

“Everybody has a bad spell in this division but that can turn at any time,” he said.

“Millwall’s record isn’t great in the last gew weekx but I know the manager and the players there will be hurting and they will be working hard to put that right.

“They were outstanding in the division last year and they will get there again so we’ve got to be on our guard and make sure that we impose ourselves on them.

“Saturday will be another great occasion for us but we know that if we perform to the level we can do consistently that we will be a match for anybody in this division.

“It was a battling hard working performance last Saturday and I thought we created enough chances to win the game. We were frustrated coming off that even with ten men we hadn’t won the game.

“We could have scored four goals against the league leaders and there were far too many positives on Saturday to dwell on the negative which was the sending off.

“The work this week has been to build on the chances we created against a very good team and we need to take that into Saturday.”
